    The wire and cord you choose affects how your finished piece drapes, holds, and wears over time. This collection covers the two most common stringing materials for jewelry making — nylon-coated bead stringing wire and elastic stretch cord — in a range of diameters, strand counts, and spool sizes to match your project and production needs.

    Bead Stringing Wire

    All stringing wire here is USA-made with a stainless steel core and smooth nylon coating. The key variables are strand count and diameter — strand count determines flexibility and drape, while diameter determines strength and bead compatibility.

    • 7-Strand Wire – Good flexibility for general use. Available in .018 in and .024 in. Best for everyday necklaces and bracelets with small to medium beads.
    • 19-Strand Wire – Better flexibility with a softer, more natural drape. Available in .015 in, .018 in, and .024 in. A step up from basic wire for designs that deserve a more refined finish.
    • 49-Strand Wire – Best flexibility for high-end and production work. Available in .015 in, .018 in, and .024 in. Ideal for fine gemstone, pearl, and seed bead designs where fluid movement matters.

    All wire spools are 30 ft (9.2 m) with a bright silver-tone finish that pairs with virtually any bead or finding.

    Elastic Stretch Cord

    Latex-free and USA-made, the stretch cord in this collection is designed for slip-on bracelets, anklets, and rings — no clasps required. Choose your diameter based on bead size and design weight.

    • 0.5mm Clear & Black – Lightweight and easy to string. Best for smaller beads (0.8mm+ hole). Great for delicate bracelets, stackable designs, and kids' jewelry.
    • 0.8mm Clear & Black – Mid-weight with added strength for 8mm–12mm gemstone beads. Available in 5m and 25m bulk spools. The 25m spool is ideal for production, kits, and workshops.
    • 1.0mm Clear & Black – Maximum strength for larger, heavier beads (10mm+). Best for statement pieces, men's jewelry, and high-durability designs.

    Clear cord blends invisibly into any design. Black cord adds contrast and definition — especially effective with matte stones, lava beads, onyx, and darker palettes.
